FotoWeek DC at Studio Gallery

The Studio Gallery will be showing the work of several New York and DC based artists. The photographers include:

Ann Chwatsky is a photographer and an educator, currently teaching at New York University where she is Coordinator of the Art and Media program at the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, Department of Art and Art Professions.

Willie Davis is a freelance photographer living in New York City. He's a contributor to The Village Voice and his work also has appeared in Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, The New York Times, Vibe.com and CNNMoney.com

Salma Khalil was born in Alexandria, Egypt and received her MFA in Photography at the Pratt Institute in New York. She is an adjunct Professor in Photography at CUNY Brooklyn and a Senior Retoucher at ART+COMMERCE in high fashion photography. Salma has shown her work at Bed, PS122, Windows Gallery, Pratt and The Annex Show in New York

Susan Hochbaum opened her design business in 1995 after having spent fifteen years with Pentagram, an International Design Consultancy. She is a graduate of Cornell University and in 2008 came to Paris, newly in love granting herself a sabbatical to photograph the remarkable patisseries of the City of Light.

Antoine Sanfuentes is the Deputy Bureau Chief of NBC News in Washington DC. In 2009, along with NBC News anchor Ann Curry, Antoine presented a show at the Washington School of Photography, featuring images taken during his reporting and producing from Chad and the Darfur region of Sudan. The show was entitled Exposing Darfur, and through beautiful and haunting images, displays the struggle for human rights in this troubled region.

Iwan Bagus is a published photographer as well as a filmmaker. His photos have been exhibited at the Museum of the Organization of American States, the Carnegie Institute, the Redbrook Gallery, The Corcoran-WPA, and the National Geographic Society, among others. He is also a photo contributor for several magazines and among his list of clients are Warner Music, New York Fashion Week, DC Modern Luxury and the Capitol Area food Bank.
