This is both an important and exciting event, and as part of the DC Arts Community, The Foundry Gallery is celebrating by dedicating its January, 2011 exhibit to a “CELEBRATION OF GAY MARRIAGE” displaying the art work of artists selected from an “Open Call for Entries.”
Jonathan Katz, associate Professor at the University at Buffalo, and director of its Doctoral Program in Visual Studies, as well as Guest Curator at of the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery’s exhibit entitled “Hide/Seek: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture” will present a lecture at the Foundry Gallery on Saturday, January 15, 2011 beginning at 4pm. Attendance is free.
