Dupont Circle Scenes & DC Woodfire Potters

August exhibits at Foundry Gallery

Dupont Circle Scenes: In Gallery I. This exhibit presents work by local artists depicting scenes in the Dupont Circle neighborhood in Washington, DC. Dupont Circle, home to the Foundry Gallery, is an area of the District of Columbia notable for its historic buildings. The show is juried by Dwight Young from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Juror Dwight Young will share his thoughts about his selection process during the opening reception on August 6.

 
DC Woodfire Potters: Also in Gallery I, the DC Wood Fire Potters will be holding an educational pottery exhibit. This group gathers twice a year to fire 2,000 pots in a wood-fired kiln. The exhibit will display 100 pots along
with photographs documenting the creative process. Renowned potter Kevin Crowe will present an artist's talk on August 27, 6-8pm
